Profile：
Leona received her Master of Arts degree in Language Studies (Pedagogical Linguistics) at City University of Hong Kong before joining the faculty of STU. Prior to that, she has worked in different teaching positions since 2015, including teaching GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English) English in Guangzhou and teaching Chinese to foreign students at City University of Hong Kong, which help to develop her language teaching skills as well as her intercultural communicative competence. She also has extensive experience in designing various interesting activities inside and outside the classroom.
Through her study at CityUHK, she has built a solid theoretical basis of pedagogical linguistics and learned to apply her linguistic knowledge to English teaching. Her research interests include Teaching Methodologies, Second Language Acquisition, Computer-Assisted Language Learning, Applied Linguistics, and Business English.
In her spare time, she enjoys singing songs and traveling. As a foodie, she is also fond of cooking and searching for delicious food around the world.
